Linsey Rios
Associate Director Linsey Rios is from Luling, Texas, where she attended Luling High School. She then went to college to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. As a student at TLU, she was a part of the Guadalupe Brass Quintet and the TLU Wind Ensemble all four and a half years. She was the Principal Horn Player for two years, Section Leader for one year and Student Conductor for one year. She also was President of the Bulldog Band Association her Senior year and Vice President of Special Projects for Tau Beta Sigma. While attending Texas Lutheran University, she studied french horn with Dr. Mary Ellen Cavitt. She has also served as an adjudicator for several TMEA and ATSSB auditions. Ms. Rios is a member of the Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Educators Association and an Alumni of Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority. This will be Ms. Rios’ third year teaching in Seguin as the Associate Band Director at Jim Barnes Middle School. She teaches Beginner Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, and Tuba; Concert Band, and Symphonic Band. She has received Sweepstakes with the Symphonic Band the previous two years. She is very grateful to have started her career here in Seguin and is excited for what this coming year has in store! In her free time she enjoys watching sports, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing with her dog Copper! |
