Heather Brown Seguin ISD Performing Arts Center Coordinator Director of Color Guard Administrative Associate to Band Born and raised in Andrews, Texas, Heather Brown attended the University of Miami, receiving a degree in Music Engineering. Ms Brown performed in the University of Miami's "Band of the Hour" Color Guard (1999-2001), Alliance of Miami Winterguard (1999 & 2000), and Echos of New Orleans Parade Corps (2006 & 2007). Ms Brown has designed and/or directed for other high school programs such as Smithson Valley HS, Tomball HS, Brenham HS, Comeaux HS, Vandebilt Catholic HS, Midland HS, Midland Lee HS, Andrews HS and Deerfield Beach HS. She has also been on colorguard staff for Southwind Drum & Bugle Corps from Lexington, KY, and Memphis Sound D&BC from Memphis, TN, Code Black Independent A from Houston, TX, and Identity Independent Winterguard from San Marcos, TX. Ms Brown was Tour Manager (2012) then Tour Director (2013-2015) for the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps, and Tour Director for the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps (2017). She also served on the administrative staff for ATX independent (2016). She has served on the board of directors for The Guardians D&BC and two terms on the Texas Color Guard Circuit's Task Force. Ms Brown is currently serving on the board of directors for the Texas Educational Colorguard Association, is a member of the Texas Color Guard Judges Association, and has been adjudicating both indoor and outdoor since 2002. She is also a member of the Texas Bandmasters Association and Texas Music Educators Association. Ms Brown currently resides in Seguin where she has been the Seguin HS Color Guard Director and Music Department Administrative Assistant since 2011, Seguin HS band drill designer since 2018, and Seguin ISD Performing Arts Center coordinator since 2022. |
