Alejandro Yañez
Associate Director Alejandro Yañez was born and raised in San Antonio, TX, where he graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 2017. While at Theodore Roosevelt HS, Mr. Yañez played Clarinet in the concert ensembles and marching band, and was also a member of the Indoor Drumline. Mr. Yañez graduated from Texas Tech University in 2022. While at Texas Tech, he studied Clarinet with Dr. David Shea and was part of the Texas Tech Clarinet Studio that performed at the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) convention in 2018. Mr. Yañez was also in various Ensembles under the direction of Dr. Ryan Smith, Dr. Sarah McKoin, and Dr. Joel Pagan. Mr. Yañez was also part of the 400 member “Goin’ Band From Raiderland” where he served as the Clarinet Section Leader,Visual Staff Member, and was awarded Outstanding Woodwind Member of the 2019 season. Mr. Yañez has worked with many schools in the San Antonio & Seguin area as a Marching Band Technician and Masterclass Instructor. In the fall of 2022, he completed his student teaching in North East ISD at Lopez Middle School, under the supervision of Mrs. Kim Garza, and LEE High School, under the supervision of Mr. Alexander Yanez. With additional guidance from his mentors Kim Rosenberg & Victoria Watson. In his free time, Mr. Yañez enjoys fishing, collecting records, and spending time with his family & friends. |
